Introduces New Isonic� Valve
Mead Fluid Dynamics, a Bimba Company, announced today,
the arrival of the newest addition to the patented
Isonic� valve line, the V2 series.
The new V2 is a 2-and 3-way solenoid-operated,
direct-acting pneumatic valve. With
flow in the range of 0.01 to 0.05 Cv, the V2 is
available with multiple voltage and
electrical connection options in both normally-closed
and normally-open styles.
At the heart of the V2 is the award-winning Isonic�
design, which enables flow
channels to be molded directly into polymer body
sections. This eliminates the abrupt
air path changes associated with cross-drilled machining
in traditional valves. The
resultant ribbon-like flow paths create near laminar
flow with little energy/pressure
drop through the valve. Built-in, push-to-connect
collets allow for simple tube and
manifold connections in seconds.

Enfield Technologies has introduced the Enfinity(R)
System for advanced proportional control. This system
comprises Enfield Technologies’ M2 pneumatic control
valve and C2 controller.
The M2 is an instrument-grade, proportional, directional
control pneumatic valve that is designed for high
performance. This valve utilizes a specialized linear
force motor, as opposed to a traditional proportional
solenoid. The M2’s aperture is controlled at a very high
speed, allowing the valve to respond quickly to
set-point command changes.
Enfield Technologies’ C2 is an enclosed high-speed,
high-accuracy analog controller
with multiple PID and feed forward options. It includes
an intuitive, user-friendly
digital LCD/membrane keypad user interface. Independent
scaling of command and
feedback signals adds to the C2’s flexibility.

Balluff has expanded its magnetic
field sensor portfolio with the new V-Twin – two
sensors, one connector.
This revolutionary low profile design allows the user to
reduce installation time and cost by requiring only one
four conductor cable with either M8 or M12 connections
for two end of stroke sensors. Because the BMF V-Twin
has just one connection for two sensors, it is ideal for
detecting multiple positions on pneumatic grippers and
cylinders and doubling the number of sensors in a
multiple interface box.

The new BMF V-Twin is available in several sizes and
form factors to cover applications from grippers and
short stroke cylinders to C-Slot, T-Slot round and tie
rod cylinders, in some cases without requiring
additional mounting brackets. Weld field immune versions
are also available.
The Balluff V-Twin magnetic field sensors use
magneto-resistive technology to detect the piston magnet
through the aluminum wall of the cylinder. Advantages of
Balluff magnetic field sensors include universal
compatibility with either “Hall Effect” or “Reed Switch”

The boosters

Two-Way Drum Pump For Small Spills from Exair
EXAIR�s new Mini Reversible Drum Vac System is a powerful liquid vacuum, capable of vacuuming 5
gallons of liquid in less than 10 seconds. With the turn of a knob, the pump empties the drum, eliminating
the need for dumping. It is the ideal way to vacuum coolant, hydraulic oils, spills, sludge, tramp oil and
waste water; then pump it back out for disposal, storage or reclamation.
The Mini Reversible Drum Vac System uses a durable, stainless steel two-way pump that is suitable for
use with most non-flammable liquids. It is compressed air powered and has no moving parts such as
motors or impellers to clog, freeze up, or wear out. An automatic safety shut-off valve prevents
overfilling the drum. A built-in pressure/vacuum relief is integral to the muffling body for safe, quiet
operation. There is no shock hazard since electricity is not required. Air consumption is only 19 SCFM
at 80 PSIG.

RLN, its fourth-generation power-off rod lock. This basic lock unit is in addition to the RCN and
RCH, expanding the company�s rod lock product line. This fourth-generation lock is the culmination of 14 years of manufacturing and marketing pneumatic and hydraulic rod locks.
The rod lock�s standard features include anodized aluminum construction, a heavy-duty clamp system and power-off clamping. The standard seal material is carboxylated nitrile.
The unit, which uses dry-filtered air, has a release pressure ranging from a minimum of 60 PSI to a maximum of 160 PSI. The operating temperature ranges from 10 degrees F to 180 degrees F. Maximum rod tolerance is +0.000 in./-0.002 in.
Rod lock options include stainless or electroless nickel-plated housing, viton seals and wiper scraper. The lock mounts to standard NFPA cylinders or can be stand-alone using

QPV Closed Loop Proportional Pressure Regulator with Extremely High Resolution Pressure Control!
McCORDSVILLE, Indiana-The QPV series valve uses Proportion-Air closed loop technology for pressure control. The output pressure is proportional to an electrical command signal input and is unaffected by changes in supply pressure. The pressure is controlled by the use of two solenoid valves. The inlet proportional valve operates proportionally to the flow required to maintain system pressure. This variable orifice effect allows precise control of pressure at low flow conditions and avoids the digital steps of traditional ON / OFF solenoids. Explosion-proof I/P Transducer is now ATEX Intrinsically Safe
Compliant
ControlAir Inc. announces the Type-950XP Explosion-proof I/P Transducer is now ATEX compliant. The I/P Transducer was designed to deliver reliable high performance for the toughest applications in the most hazardous environments. The Type 950XP approved by Factory Mutual (FM), the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) and Cenelec for explosion-proof applications, is now compliant with the ATEX directive 94/9/EC for equipment intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres in Europe.
The Type 950XP converts an electrical current signal to a proportionally linear pneumatic output to actuate valves. Its NEMA 4X (IP65) housing is designed for both Intrinsically Safe and Explosion-Proof operation. The �Tapped Exhaust� option on the Type 950XP is used to connect piping which captures natural gas that vents from the unit and escorts it to a safe area, often away from the application, where it can be safely released as required. Advanced circuitry includes electronic feedback control for superior vibration protection and highly accurate output. In addition to accuracy of 0.10%, the Type 950XP also delivers low hysteresis, and excellent repeatability. This is performance that surpasses most control system requirements. Yet because it typically consumes only .05 SCFM (0.11m3/hr) of air in operation, it not only costs less to buy, it costs less to operate as well. The Type 950XP is able to process impure air thus reducing downtime. Easy access Zero and Span adjustments make bench or field calibration quick and easy. For operating versatility, options include direct, reverse and split range modes.
The Type 950XP I/P Transducer has a built-in volume-booster that provides up to 10 SCFM air flow capacity to drive large valves, cylinders and actuators. The unit utilizes an input signal of 4-20 mA and has field-selectable output ranges of 3-15 psig, 3-27 psig, 6-30 psig and 1-17 psig. Supply pressures range up to 100 psig. The standard mounting bracket allows mounting directly on a valve, wall, panel, or pipe. The Type 950XP is insensitive to position, vibration, supply pressure variation and RMI/EFI interference.
The Type 950XP joins ControlAir�s �family� of ATEX approved Transducer products. Approved for use with natural gas, it is ideal for natural gas extraction and transport applications such as natural gas gathering stations, compressor stations, pipeline feed, and booster stations that are in remote locations and often do not have access to compressed plant air for operation of pneumatic valve actuators. The Type 950XP I/P Transducer is also ideal for valve control applications where the environment can be hazardous, in such industries as, chemical, petrochemical, paint, mining, and oil and gas.

ULTRA-MINIATURE PRESSURE COMPENSATED FLOW CONTROL VALVE
Beswick Engineering announces the release of an ultra-miniature Pressure Compensated Flow Control Valve with low friction diaphragm � PCFCD-1N1. The PCFCD-1N1 is designed to maintain a constant flow rate, which the customer can adjust, regardless of upstream or downstream pressure variations. It works with both liquids (incompressible fluids) and gasses (compressible fluids) but is primarily intended for the control of liquids. The pressure regulation is accomplished with a low friction diaphragm mechanism. Beswick has applied for patent protection on this unique valve.
The PCFCD-1N1 sets an industry standard for miniaturization. It is lightweight�.tipping the scales at only 48 grams. Customers will find it particularly useful when space, weight, and precise liquid flow control are critical.
The PCFCD-1N1 controls flow rates of 0 to 4.2 gallons per hour of Water (0 to 20 cubic feet/hour of Air). It is especially suited for the control of low flow rates. The maximum rated inlet supply pressure is 500 psig. Both the inlet and outlet ports are tapped 10-32. The valve body is both small and lightweight allowing for convenient in-line mounting without the need for a panel mount thread. The PCFCD-1N1 is currently available in brass. The E02/E22/E32 Series electronic proportional regulators quickly and accurately adjusts output pressure in relation to an electrical control signal. They meet requirements of industrial environments including rapid cycling, quick response, and repeatability, which are found in paint, welding, packaging, textile, medical, and many other process applications.
The electrical control signal can be either analog or digital. The analog unit controls any pressure setting

The new 3MA Series and 4MA Series of cylinders deliver superior performance resulting from efficient design, reduced weight, low friction, and advanced sealing technology. The 4MA Series is designed for customization and offers availability of all options.
Because 3MA and 4MA rod lock cylinders are designed to hold loads in a static condition when air pressure is removed from the system, they are ideal for clamping, load holding or emergency stop (E-stop) applications.
Available in seven different bore sizes, from 1.125� to 5.00�, 3MA cylinders have strokes in any practical length and have a variety of rod diameters. 3MA cylinders have an operating temperature range of -10� F to +165� F (-23�C to +74�) and a maximum operating air pressure of 250 PSIG. The unique 1.125� bore includes a hydraulic version (Parker 3ML Series) with a maximum operating hydraulic pressure of 1,100 PSIG.
The 3MA Series is the latest in a line of Parker NFPA cylinders spanning 30 years of innovative design and production that includes MA Series and 2MA Series cylinders. Original breakthroughs introduced with these product lines included aluminum
end caps and tubing, check seal cushions, and tie-rod mounted sensors.
The use of lighter composites that deliver the same service life as aluminum or bronze, combined with die-cast
end cap design, make the average weight of the 3MA cylinder 15% less than comparable cylinders. Composite materials significantly reduce inertia of moving parts and generate less friction than other materials. An added advantage of composite piston and
end cap inserts is an automatic noise pollution reduction of 12 dB when compared with typical aluminum cylinder designs. Environmentally friendly, all 3MA materials are 100% recyclable, including the aluminum, steel, composite parts, and the nitrile and urethane seals.
All moving components in the 3MA cylinder are designed for low friction, which results in less wear. This is accomplished with zero leakage because of rounded-lip rod and piston seals that glide on lubricant film, self-lubricating
Carboxilated nitrile polymer to maximize seal life, and nitrile end seals on the smooth bore of the cylinder body, which is the optimal sealing surface.
The cylinder�s standard mount feature accommodates almost all NFPA mounts as accessories. 3MA�s flexible design means that mountings can be installed at the factory or from separately ordered kits. For precise load holding and emergency-stop situations, where safety is critical, the 3MAJ rod lock cylinder is also available. Parker 3MAJ rod locks are IP67 rated, exceed NEMA 4X requirements, and are classified as EN 954 Category 1 for robust applications.
The innovative 3MA features advanced end cap and piston design. Anodized, high-pressure, die-cast aluminum heads and caps for flexible mounting. Full-flow ports combine with low inertia piston rod assembly to minimize cylinder response time. Floating check-seal design combines sealing capability of a lipseal with check valve action for quick stroke reversal, while outstanding cushioning performance is the result of sophisticated piston architecture and durable urethane seals.
Sensor-ready, the 3MA has a unique extruded-profile cylinder body that provides integrated grooves to minimize sensor installation time, maximize sensor protection, and eliminate the need for brackets. A magnetic piston ring is standard. Sensors drop into grooves in the cylinder body for easy, inexpensive assembly and protection. Most sensors are CE approved and UL listed, with options that include
ATEX, NAMUR (intrinsically safe) compliance, as well as meeting CSA and Weld Immune specifications. All sensors are RoHS compliant or excluded from the directive.
Proven exterior toughness is established from corrosion-resistant anodized aluminum alloy heads, caps and cylinder body; zinc plated steel
end cap fasteners; case-hardened, hard chrome plated steel piston rods; and a durable urethane wiper designed to remove external debris and adherents from the piston rod during the entire stroke.
Standard 3MA mode code options include piston bumper seals, traditional �� urethane bumpers, fluorocarbon rod seals, stainless steel rods and double rod ends.
The Parker 4MA, designed for customization, meets the demand when cylinder flexibility is mandatory and access to all cylinder options is required. Standard features of the 4MA Series include a larger bore size range, standard and oversize rods and an externally removable rod gland (bearing). Model code options include many porting styles, high temperature (to +250�F) and low temperature (to -50�F) ratings, hydraulic service to 400 PSIG, a HI LOAD gland option for side load conditions, a metallic rod wiper gland option for rod adherents, stainless steel rods, a HB slide package for conversion to a guided cylinder, an ACVB option for an air cylinder/valve combination unit, a LPSO option for continuous piston rod position sensing (with LDT), and a 4MAJ rod lock version (all bores). All available options are detailed in the Parker catalog.

The product was conceived in order to solve installation problems of similar devices which do not integrate the sensor with the power relay into a single component. These devices require a separate mounting on the unit to be monitored as well as a separate electrical connection. The new TCR model features a bimetallic sensor completely covered inside a flange made of OT 58 brass. The bimetallic sensor is connected to a power relay placed in a strong plastic housing and embedded in protective resin. The switch is quite easy to use. | Ross Controls Expands L-O-X� Valve Family (TROY, MI) � Ross Controls is adding to its family of OSHA-compliant L-O-X� (Lock Out & OSHA regulations (29 CFR 1910.147) and ANSI standards (Z244) require that energy sources (pneumatic, electric, hydraulic, etc.) be shut off or disconnected while equipment is being serviced. Furthermore, the disconnected valve or switch must be locked to prevent reactivation while anyone is servicing or performing maintenance on the equipment. The manual L-O-X� valve controls the airflow simply by moving its large red handle in or out. The valve is open when the handle is pulled outward and air then moves freely from inlet to outlet port. A short inward push of the handle shuts off airflow of air and opens the exhaust port to immediately release downstream air. Similarly the family of L-O-X� products assists manufacturers and users comply with European regulation EN 1037 (Safety of Machinery) and Canadian Standard CSA Z460 (Control of Hazardous Energy). | New Compact Electro-Pneumatic Pressure Regulator from Rexroth The new electro-pneumatic ED02 pressure regulator from Bosch Rexroth offers high accuracy and dynamics. Combined with its compact design, it performs well in a wide range of applications. High dynamics in small dimensions is now possible with ED02 pressure regulators. Featuring compact dimensions of only 3� x 2.4� x 1.2� (76x60x30 mm), the new pressure regulator is applicable in almost all sectors, including the automotive, printing, paper and food industries. | XM Series Direct Acting Valve Rated for Mobile Voltage Operation Available from Parker Hannifin Parker Hannifin Corporation (NYSE: PH) offers the XM Series Inline Valve for multiple industrial applications in a variety of pneumatic markets. | New LS04 Air Valve Series: Ideal Flow Rates in Small Sizes for Assembly Tasks The new LS04 valve series has been designed for handling tasks and applications in the electronics industry that do not require high flow rates. The new LS04 pneumatic valve series from Rexroth sets itself apart with small dimensions of only ten millimeters width and a flow rate of 200 l/min (0.2Cv) up to a maximum of 330 l/min (0.33Cv). Thus, this series exactly fits the requirements for most applications in assembly applications, as well as for numerous handling tasks. With the LS04, Rexroth has rounded out its range of pneumatic valves with high levels of function and reliability. | New Direct Acting XM Valve Series from Parker The Pneumatic Division of Parker Hannifin Corporation is pleased to announce our New Direct Acting Valve – XM Series. IEM � Inlet Exhaust Manifolds: 3-Way and 4-Way Inline Valves can be mounted on the same IEM Manifold. 3-Way valves can be configured for Normally Open or Normally Closed function by mounting the 3-Way valve 180 degrees opposite to each other. Additional gaskets are not required for this feature. 4-Way valves with integrated flow controls can be mounted directly to the IEM Manifold since the adjustment screws are located on the body of the valve away from the manifold. Subbase Manifolds: Inline valves have the working ports (2 and 4) tapped in the valve body. Subbase Valves require a manifold with working ports tapped 1/8″ in each manifold station. Designed specifically for food-handling applications the GGL3060 is sealed according to IP69K standards, allowing it to withstand both high-pressure and high-temperature (wash down) cleanings. The Techno GGL3060 gripper has a compact form with a matching corrosion-resistant, stainless steel design. It also meets DIN 1672-2 guidelines for hygienic food production machinery, making it food safe. This specialized gripper features jaws that swing open to a full 180�. | Lightweight Polyethylene Tubing Now Stocked in Two Styles Both Multi-Purpose and Specialty Needs Addressed Southampton, PA � Now available from NewAge Industries are two types of polyethylene tubing: linear low density formula and a style co-extruded with EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate). While both are made from non-toxic ingredients conforming to FDA standards, they offer different performance characteristics. Uses include air lines, chemical and fluid transfer, food and beverage processing and distribution, pharmaceutical processing, pneumatics and instrumentation, potable water, deionized water, wire jacketing, laboratory applications, and decorative coverings. Linear low density polyethylene tubing is a lightweight, flexible product suitable for a variety of uses due to its relatively low cost. It offers no transfer of odor or taste to critical streams, good dielectric properties, and is chemically inert, forming a good barrier to gases, vapors, and moisture. The linear low density formula provides enhanced resistance to stress cracking (over that of low density). It�s durable and stays flexible at temperatures well below 0�F. The co-extruded version � polyethylene-lined EVA � performs much like linear low density polyethylene tubing and offers additional features. Its ingredients conform to USP Class VI standards, and it provides greater flexibility over linear low density because of the bonded EVA outer layer. Polyethylene-lined EVA may be substituted for PTFE fluoropolymer tubing in applications involving working temperatures below 100�F, which can result in a cost savings of 50% or more. Linear low density polyethylene tubing is stocked in translucent natural color in a dozen sizes ranging from .170� to 1-1/2� I.D. | Ultra-miniature M3 Threaded Slide Sleeve Valve Beswick Engineering designs and manufactures high-performance miniature fluid power devices. Beswick announces the release of a new ultra miniature M3 threaded slide sleeve valve (part number M3SV-N). The new M3SV-N slide sleeve valve is another addition to Beswick growing M3 product line. It provides efficient control (on/off) of gas or liquid in an in-line configuration. The valve can be attached directly in a fluid circuit and does not require panel mounting.
