A vacuum lifter for pipe that features curved foam pad
attachments to handle a wide variety of pipe from the
top surface, without slings or magnets, is available

The Anver VPE Pipe Vacuum Lifter features an electric

Parker Hannifin announces the addition of three new
product lines featuring the Parker-Origa System Plus (OSP)
family of linear actuators. The OSP product line
includes the completely modular and space saving OSP-P
rodless pneumatic cylinders and the high speed precision
OSP-E electric linear drives. Complimenting the OSP-P,
Parker-Origa is also offering a range of linear rails
and cassettes.

The OSP-P rodless pneumatic cylinders manage high loads
and moments, equal force in both directions, service
intervals up to 8000 kilometers and include an internal
guide system. These cylinders have an aluminum extruded
profile with double dovetail mounting rails on three
sides enabling direct attachment for all modular
options. This allows customers to build flexible,
easy-to-install solutions such as extremely long
cylinders with stroke lengths up to 40 meters.

�This OSP-P fits a wide range of loads, speeds and
motion profiles,” explains Cathy Laskero, Product

A full range of linear rails and cassettes options

The OSP-E electric linear drives offer either a toothed
belt or a screw drive for heavy duty linear and
multi-axis applications. The OSP-E with toothed belt
features an integrated recirculating ball bearing guide
ideal for lifting movements in multi-axis systems. It is
offered in 25, 32, and 50 millimeter (mm) sizes with
speeds of 5 meters/second (m/s) and stroke lengths
ranging from 5000mm to 7000mm. The toothed belt version
provides high acceleration and speed, a magnetic switch
set for contactless position sensing, and the option of
clamp or plain drive shaft. The OSP-E with either the
ball screw or trapezoidal screw drive option offers the
best solution depending on the application’s need for
accurate positioning, high action forces and superior
running performance. Customers can select 25, 32 and 50
mm sizes, speeds ranging from 1.25 m/s for the ball
screw and 0.125 m/s for the trapezoidal screw with
stroke lengths up to 500mm.

The Winters SCT Series Cooling Tower is designed
specifically to protect pressure instruments in high
temperature applications. It works by utilizing �heat
exchange� technology in the same way radiators do.

The cooling tower is mounted in between the pressure
measuring instrument and process. Hot media from the
process will flow through the cooling tower�s stainless
steel spiral capillary. As it does, air will circulate
through the cooling tower�s vented body, passing over
the capillary. Heat transfer from the capillary to the
air will occur, lowering the temperature of the media
before it arrives at the top of the cooling tower and
instrument.

Winters� SCT Series Cooling Tower can significantly
reduce media temperature, thus protecting the instrument
and extending its service life. It is suitable for media
temperatures up to 300�C (570�F), and may lower them by
as much as 260�C (500�F) depending on the ambient
temperature. The cooling tower can be used with a
diaphragm seal.

The POD is a vacuum cup platform that has a built-in

The AGA Series Angular Gripper Actuator features four
new models that have three jaws. The gripper jaws 180
degree opening is suited for applications which must be
performed within a limited work area. The AGA-23, 33, 43
and 53 series have stroke-limiting screws to adjust the
stroke between 0 and 180 degree. The four sizes have a
range gripping forces from 20 to 200 lbs.

When the jaws are completely opened, the work piece can
be placed in a fixture without having to retract the
gripper. This saves an extra step as well as the expense
of another axis of movement. The toggle mechanism
greatly increases in power as the jaws near the fully
closed position and become self-locking when past
parallel. The internal linkages are guided by two groves
that run the length of the body.
This will keeps the tooling jaws from loosing the center
repeatability. Close attention must be made to the
tooling jaws when designing them. Because the jaws swing
an arc, the mechanism produces higher velocity at the
end of your tooling during the stroke.
Therefore, tooling jaws should be short, lightweight as
possible, and flow controls are recommended. In cases
where longer jaws are needed, bumpers or miniature
hydraulic shocks should be used to decelerate the jaw at
the end of the stroke. All of these units are double
acting, have multiple airports, mounting locations and
available with sensor options for easy interfacing to
electrical controls.

president of Proportion-Air, Inc. announced the latest
addition to the product line, the new QL3 Pressure
Control Valve. The QL3 allows high volumes of air to
move quickly and precisely at pressures up to 150 psig
using proportional solenoid valves with a unique analog
PID circuit. Ideal for use with flow meters, it provides
high resolution and smooth pressure control at high and
low flow rates and avoids the �steps� prevalent in most
feed and bleed I/P�s. The output pressure is
proportional to the electrical input or command signal.

The QL3 improves and builds on the proven Proportion-Air
QB3 series� high performance using a current driven
variable orifice solenoid valve and the analog PID
circuit. The PID circuit integrates error out quickly

A new line of vacuum suction cups that are designed for
handling hot glass or metal objects in momentary
pick-and-place applications, without leaving marks, is
being introduced by ANVER Corporation of Hudson,
Massachusetts.

ANVER High Temperature Vacuum Suction Cups feature a
special Viton� fluorocaoutchouc FPM-F rubber pad with a
heat-resistant felt coating that will not mar material
surfaces. Capable of excursions up to 752�F (400�C),
these high heat-resistant vacuum suction cups are
designed for momentary pick-and-place applications with
hot glass, cookware, and metal objects.

“With up to 4 mm stroke per jaw, 350 N of grip force and
0.5 Nm of torque for rotation, the DGP packs a large
force in a compact design,” said Sales Manager Costas

The DGP404 Series has separate pneumatic connections for

up to 4000 psig

A portable high pressure gas transfer and charging
system featuring high reliability and affordability for
aircraft ground support and industrial applications has

87114 handles inlet pressure up to 3500 psig and maximum

With the MMS-P, SCHUNK has added a brand new magnetic
switch with two programmable switching points to its
product range. Now, a single sensor is capable of
detecting both the �open� and �closed� states. That
means fewer sensors, cables, and adjustments, which

The switching points are now no longer set by pushing
the sensor to the proper position and clamping it there.
Instead, the sensor is simply mounted near the piston,
which is moved to the desired switching position. One
push of a button is enough to program the sensor to this
switch-on point. If the standard switch-off hysteresis
is too large, it can also be reprogrammed with ease.

Components such as grippers and rotary modules can be
equipped with the MMS-P, because it fits into every 4-C

Elettrotec’s TCR bimetallic temperature switch is a temperature detection device with a built-in power relay controlled by a metallic sensing element. The product was conceived in order to solve installation problems of similar devices which do not integrate the sensor with the power relay into a single component. These devices require a separate mounting on the unit to be monitored as well as a separate electrical connection.

The new TCR model features a bimetallic sensor completely covered inside a flange made of OT 58 brass. The bimetallic sensor is connected to a power relay placed in a strong plastic housing and embedded in protective resin.

The switch is quite easy to use. The bimetallic element is embedded in the metallic flange which detects the temperature to by means of the threaded mounting. When the desired
temperature is reached, the bimetallic element forces an electric circuit to either open or close thus actuating the power relay. Elettrotec’s TCR bimetallic temperature switch is a device with a factory-set fixed actuation point. The built-in power relay and its electrical circuits allow a maximum load of 40 A in pickup state and 20 A in steady state.

This device is designed to be mounted on tanks or installations which require their fluid temperature to be kept at a given preset value in order to prevent equipment damage. This is particularly useful for hydraulic and pneumatic systems such as heat exchangers. When the preset threshold is reached, the temperature switch causes the automatic actuation of the cooling or heating systems. It can also be installed on units which actuate according to the detected temperature value or on industrial lines which have processing cycles based on a set temperature scale. Finally, the product can also send overshoot and restore alarm signals.

(TROY, MI) � Ross Controls is adding to its family of OSHA-compliant L-O-X� (Lock Out &
eXhaust) valves with two models that feature smaller port sizes (1/4� and 3/8�) for machines like those operating in the packaging industry and other industries.

OSHA regulations (29 CFR 1910.147) and ANSI standards (Z244) require that energy sources (pneumatic, electric, hydraulic, etc.) be shut off or disconnected while equipment is being serviced. Furthermore, the disconnected valve or switch must be locked to prevent reactivation while anyone is servicing or performing maintenance on the equipment. The manual L-O-X� valve controls the airflow simply by moving its large red handle in or out. The valve is open when the handle is pulled outward and air then moves freely from inlet to outlet port. A short inward push of the handle shuts off airflow of air and opens the exhaust port to immediately release downstream air. High dynamics in small dimensions is now possible with ED02 pressure regulators. Featuring compact dimensions of only 3� x 2.4� x 1.2� (76x60x30 mm), the new pressure regulator is applicable in almost all sectors, including the automotive, printing, paper and food industries. Thanks to a construction with two directly-controlled 2/2-way proportional valves, the dynamics achieve an air flow of 3.5 SCFM (100 l/min) that is traditionally only possible with larger nominal widths in other units. 

Exact regulation controlled by a microprocessor is an additional feature of the new pressure regulator. Here, the ED02 provides repetitive precision of 0.44 psi (30 mbar) and excellent values with a hysteresis of 0.73 psi (50 mbar). 

Four ED02 series pressure regulators can be linked without a base plate. Compressed air supply is possible from either side allowing flexible use within a system. Canfield Connector�s Series D5400 Micro Solenoid Driver
(MSD) is a connector that improves performance while reducing heat buildup in solenoid valve operators. The MSD induces faster solenoid pull-in with a high input voltage then automatically reduces voltage during hold-in. This not only increases efficiency but extends solenoid life and saves energy. The MSD is available in Mini and NEMA 4 DIN 43650 Form �A:/ISO 4400, EN175301-803:2000 enclosures and can be used to replace low voltage power supplies allowing a 24 VDC solenoid valve to be operated by 120 VAC. Parker Hannifin Corporation (NYSE: PH) offers the XM Series Inline Valve for multiple industrial applications in a variety of pneumatic markets. XM Series direct acting valves are available in both 3-way and 4-way versions. 

The XM Inline Valve is a 1/8″, 2-position, single solenoid, spring return 3-way or 4-way valve with AC or DC operating voltages. The 12 and 24 VDC coils are rated for mobile voltage operation.

XM Series 3-way valves can function as normally open or normally closed valves. Optional integrated individual flow controls are available on the 4-way valves that meter the exhaust flow from each working port to the exhaust port of the valve. This option eliminates additional component flow controls and fittings between a cylinder and a valve.
The new XM Inline Valve Series is direct operated; unlike a solenoid air pilot valve, there is no minimum operating pressure required to shift the valve. The solenoid coil operates an armature pin that directly impacts the spool mechanism to shift the valve.

Although there is no minimum operating pressure, the XM valve must be selected for specific system pressure. Operating pressure range of the 3-way/3-port version is 0 to 125 PSIG/ -14.7 to 125 PSIG. The operating pressure range of the 4-way/4-port version is -14.7 PSIG to 125 PSIG.

XM Series Valve types include an inline 19mm pitch version, or a subbase version. Inline valves can be mounted as a single valve. They can also be manifold mounted on an Inlet Exhaust Manifold
(IEM) that accepts both 3-way and 4-way valves without additional mounting kits.

The 3-way valves can be configured for normally open or normally closed functions by mounting valves 180 degrees opposite each other; additional gaskets are not required. The 4-way valves with integrated flow controls can be mounted directly to the IEM manifold, since the adjustment screws are located on the body of the valve away from the manifold.

Inline valves have the working ports (2 and 4) tapped in the valve body. Subbase valves require a manifold with working ports tapped 1/8″ in each manifold station. Each manifold consists of a segmented subbase and an end plate kit.

XM 3-way and 4-way subbase valves can be mounted on the same manifold assembly. Standard 3-way valve function is normally closed. Port isolation discs are used if 3-way normally open and normally closed functions are required on the same manifold. The 4-way integrated flow control is available on 4-way subbase valves as well.

The aluminum manifold accepts all combinations of 5/2-way valves and 5/3-2way valves. The valve positions can be covered by a blanking plate for future expansion. Integrated manual override, standard on CPE valves, makes for easy commissioning.

SCHUNK�s parallel gripper family JGP is very economical and can be used in numerous applications. 

The JGP parallel grippers represent the leading technology in SCHUNK�s new �Compact Class� � offering all essential functions and an excellent price-performance ratio. This extremely compact and universal pneumatic gripper is intended for use in clean to slightly dirty environments, and is available in sizes 64 to 160. 

Thanks to its compact design, the JGP is particularly ideal for applications in which only limited space is available and interfering contours have to be avoided. Their oval pistons, wedge-hook kinematics and sturdy T-slot guidance enable the JGP grippers to achieve gripping forces of 56.2 to 537.3 lbf at a weight of 0.6 to 7.3 lb, depending on size. The stroke ranges from 0.24 to 0.63 inches per finger. The recommended workpiece weights are 2.8 to 18.1 lb in standard cases, for example with purely metallic friction grip between the workpiece and gripper finger. The pneumatic position monitoring unit MS01 from Rexroth offers a wide range of application options in the machine tool industry.

With the MS01 series, Rexroth offers a pneumatically operated
controlling and measuring system to control the presence, position,
form or dimensions of test objects during automatic supply and
processing of workpieces.

In numerous pneumatic applications, the compressed air required for pneumatic
functions is used in two ways: firstly, pneumatic components are operated with
compressed air. And secondly, via non-contact scanning of a test object with an
air jet from a sensor nozzle and the evaluation of the resulting dynamic pressure,
a statement in the form of an electric signal can be made about the factors which
are being tested. For these types of applications, Rexroth offers the pneumatic
position monitoring unit MS01.

The pneumatic position monitoring unit can be used for controlling the presence
or dimensional accuracy of workpieces. Measuring nozzles conduct non-contact
scanning of the test object. The dynamic pressure which forms between the
workpiece and the measuring nozzle indicates the presence or dimensional
accuracy of the workpiece. A signal transmits the measurement result to the
machine controller; cases of defective workpieces or incorrect positioning are
shunted out of the process. In a different application, the position monitoring unit
controls the presence of bores in the workpiece. Air is blown through a
measuring inlet into the nozzle area of a scanning sensor. If a bore is missing,
the predefined dynamic pressure is too low and a signal is sent to the machine
controller stopping further processing of the defective workpiece.

The pneumatic position monitoring unit from Rexroth features a high
measurement accuracy of up to 0.01 mm. To guard against the corruption of
measurement results by contaminants such as chips or coolant, the MS01 is
equipped with an integrated cleaning pressure function. This ensures regular
cleaning of the measuring surface.

The system can be easily expanded. As a joint solution in combination with the
CD01 valve system, the MS01 position monitoring unit can be integrated in any
machine controller, equating to a minimum of assembly and installation effort
for the user.

The new compact cylinder does more than just conform to
ISO standard 21287. With its compact size and wide range of
options – it also meets the most varied user demands.

The latest compact cylinder in the CCI series (Compact Cylinder ISO) is yet
another addition to Rexroth�s standard cylinder product range. Made using
cutting-edge production methods, the cylinder housing is made of a continuous
aluminum profile with a press-fit base and cover. Cylinder covers are screwed
on from piston diameters of 63 mm and up. The easy-to-clean design helps avoid
dirt pockets. Outer dimensions, ports, and mounting accessories conform to ISO
standard 21287 for compact cylinders � and all this at an very attractive price.
The CCI is up to 60% shorter compared to standard cylinders conforming to ISO
15552, enabling particularly space-saving machine layouts. A further benefit of
the CCI is its high guide accuracy, which is due to very low piston rod play.

An attractive combination

One or two continuous sensor grooves on each side provide plenty of options
when mounting sensors, leaving more room to install the cylinder. This means
that ST6 series sensors from Rexroth can be easily installed throughout the
entire stroke range without a problem. In fact, they are offered along with the
CCI cylinder as a complete package.

The CCI cylinder with piston diameters ranging from �16 mm to �100 mm is
available in numerous versions and with a wide array of options. The maximum
length of the selectable stroke is 25 mm for single-acting cylinders and up to 500
mm for double-acting cylinders.

In addition to the standard version with a single piston rod, the CCI is also
available with a through piston rod, through hollow piston rod, as well as a nonrotating
model with a front plate and guide rods. Options such as an extended
piston rod, extended piston rod external thread, or heat-resistant and ATEX
versions of the CCI, round out the program.

Sizes 10 and 12 complete the efficient spectrum of pneumatic angular grippers type SWG by two more sizes. The SWG grippers stand out through their low weight and high gripping torque allowing high cycle times in very dynamic systems. 

With an opening angle of 15 degrees per finger, and closing and opening times of only a few hundredths of a second, these quick-acting grippers are perfectly adapted to the requirements of assembly automation. The low weight of the SWG range (0.11 oz – 7.51 oz) and the high gripping torque (0.04 � 24.78 lbf in) enables high cycles, hence efficient process automation, even in very dynamic systems.

The eight sizes of the SWG range (10 � 50) are equipped with a double-acting pneumatic drive. The precise fingers ensure an exact centric grip. Due to the spring-loaded grip force safety feature, the workpiece remains securely gripped even in the event of pressure loss. The light and compact design enables space-saving handling solutions in restricted areas. Electro-magnetic switches for detecting the gripper position are easily mounted along the side of the gripper. The SWG angular grippers can be installed in stacks, making it possible to create extremely compact assembly units. 

The grippers are operated pneumatically by lubricated or non-lubricated compressed air at a nominal pressure of 6 bar (87 psi). The grippers come complete with the necessary centring sleeves for mounting.

The NOSHOK 800 Series Electronic Pressure Switch with

The new LS04 valve series has been designed for handling tasks and applications in the electronics industry that do not require high flow rates.

The new LS04 pneumatic valve series from Rexroth sets itself apart with small dimensions of only ten millimeters width and a flow rate of 200 l/min (0.2Cv) up to a maximum of 330 l/min (0.33Cv). Thus, this series exactly fits the requirements for most applications in assembly applications, as well as for numerous handling tasks. In spite of its small dimensions, the maintenance-free, compact mini valve in the LS04 series covers the entire needs of modern valve technology for flows of up to 200 l/min (0.2Cv). As a 5/2-way valve, it takes care of the most common valve functions and can be operated with lubricated or non-lubricated compressed air. This also applies to the standard valve, particularly with the double 3/2 (split spool) function. Users in handling technology can also directly mount the LS04 on moving parts, thanks to its low weight. When a robot has to perform rotary movements, SCHUNK�s DVS rotary distributor is the ideal solution for supplying tools, gripper modules or linear units with air, fluid or electrical signals.

ROSS� newDM2 pneumatic safety valves meet all ANSI requirements for machine safety, including the Z244 lock-out, B11.19 machine guarding, and B155 packaging standards. TheDM2�Calso meets stop-time requirements, and is Category-4, third party certified. Safety systems do not end at the wire!

Memory, monitoring, and air-flow control functions are simply integrated into two identical valve elements. DM2valves lock out due to asynchronous movement of valve elements during actuation or de-actuation, resulting in a residual outlet pressure of less than 1% of supply. Overt action is required for reset, and reset can only be accomplished by applying a remote air signal or by energizing the optional integrated electrical (solenoid) reset.

The new Rexroth has expanded its offering of the CL03 (Clean Line) pneumatic valve manifold system to include a version with an integrated fieldbus. The new CL03 version supports the common fieldbus protocols Profibus, DeviceNet and CANopen, as well as Rexroth�s Drive & Diagnostic Link
(DDL).

The CL03 Series is used particularly in areas where direct contact with food is possible, as well as areas where high-pressure, high-temperature cleaning of machines is required. The special materials and construction of the CL03 were tested for use with chemicals and allow for easy cleaning. The hygienic design of the polymer cover, without any seams or gaps, prevents dirt accumulation. The distinctive Extractor/Dryer� is a two-stage filter designed to operate most effectively within twenty-five feet of the point of use. Each model offers a standard 5-Micron rating with lower Micron ratings available. A user-friendly, modular design with compact dimensions permits use in tight spaces. The valve manifold has an especially low height because it does not need
subbases. Other features include easy exchange of valves without disassembling the manifold, and ability to have pressure zones via additional supply plates. 

SCHUNK Inc. introduces additional sizes of its sealed 3-finger centric grippers, DPZ-plus. The DPZ-plus sizes 40 and 50 are designed for the automated handling of small, round components under extreme environmental conditions. This sealed 3-finger centric gripper is sealed to meet IP 67 requirements against the penetration of contaminants and is therefore ideally suited to handle rough and dirty
work pieces. Even for under-water applications or in environments with abrasive dust, its protection is assured.

The base jaws of the sealed 3-finger centric grippers consist of two sections: a circular guide with wiper seal for a permanent, reliable seal, and a sturdy multi-tooth guide for the precise handling of rough and/or dirty
work pieces. The DPZ-plus offers high bearing load capacities which allow for mounting of longer gripper fingers. A vent part prevents differences in pressure, which can draw debris through the seals into the gripper. This ensures that the
gripper remains completely sealed, even under water! 

The circular piston drive adopted from the PZN-plus has a gripping force of 230 (51 lbf) in the DPZ-plus 40 and 290 N (65 lbf) in the DPZ-plus 50, on strokes of 2.5 or 4 mm per finger. The combination of internal multi-tooth guide and external circular guide is extremely stable and ensures that the DPZ-plus 40/50 performs its task with sustained precision. 

The air supply can also be connected directly without hoses, and the gripper can be fastened on one side in two screw-directions.

performance, although some nylon-11 types are produced with FDA-approved ingredients, making the tubing safe for use with 
food contact surfaces. Nylon-12 is more often used in industrial applications and is somewhat less expensive. Both may be 
used with a wide range of temperatures (-90�F to 212�F) and attach easily with push-to-connect fittings, available from NewAge 
Industries in plastic or brass.

Nylotube is stocked in both inch and metric sizes in up to six colors (natural, black, red, yellow, blue, green). Inch sizes are 
offered in either semi-rigid or flexible grade, while metric dimensions are available in the flexible grade. Sizes range from 1/8� 
through 1� O.D. and from 4mm to 12mm O.D. Custom options include retractable coils, other sizes and colors, cut-to-length 
pieces, and heat-formed shapes.

The Canfield Connector 9G linear magnetic position sensor is designed to work with many popular aluminum extrusion type linear actuators that have the commonly used 
6.2 mm x 4.4 mm rectangular T-slot groove in the body. The 9G is available in Reed NPN or PNP Electronic versions and is operational up to 30G in the reed version and 
up to 50 G in the electronic version. All versions are designed to meet NEMA 6 standards and are water and dust tight to IP-67 specifications. Electrical connection is 
made by either flying lead or 8 mm quick connect versions. 

The Pneumatic Division of Parker Hannifin Corporation introduces Isys HA (26 mm) and HB (18 mm) ISO 15407-1 valves. The new valves are equipped with a central 4-pin M12 connector that provides a single electrical connection for single and double solenoids via a cord set linked to an M12 field bus output module or I/O distribution block. In these direct acting, two- way, two- position dry operator valves the media is isolated from the working components of the valve. SCHUNK Inc. introduces additional sizes of its sealed 2-finger parallel grippers, DPG-plus. The DPG-plus size 40 is designed for the automated handling of small components under extreme environmental conditions. XM Inline Valve: The XM Valve is a 1/8″, 2-Position, Single Solenoid, Spring Return 3-Way or 4-Way valve with AC or DC Operating Voltages. The 12 and 24VDC coils are rated for Mobile Voltage Operation. 3-Way valves can function as Normally Open or Normally Closed valves. Optional integrated individual flow controls are available on the 4-Way valves which meters the exhaust flow from each working port to the exhaust port of the valve. This option eliminates additional component flow controls and fittings between a cylinder and a valve.

IEM � Inlet Exhaust Manifolds: 3-Way and 4-Way Inline Valves can be mounted on the same IEM Manifold. 3-Way valves can be configured for Normally Open or Normally Closed function by mounting the 3-Way valve 180 degrees opposite to each other. Additional gaskets are not required for this feature. 4-Way valves with integrated flow controls can be mounted directly to the IEM Manifold since the adjustment screws are located on the body of the valve away from the manifold.

Subbase Manifolds: Inline valves have the working ports (2 and 4) tapped in the valve body. Subbase Valves require a manifold with working ports tapped 1/8″ in each manifold station. Each manifold consists of a segmented subbase and an end plate kit. XM 3-Way and 4-Way subbase valves can be mounted on the same manifold assembly. Standard function of a 3-Way Subbase Valve is normally closed. Port Isolation Discs are used if 3-Way Normally Open and Normally Closed functions are required on the same manifold. The 4-Way integrated flow control is available on 4-Way subbase valves as well.

The swivel heads of the new SRH are completely modular in structure and consist of the tried and tested SRU rotary modules combined with two swivel corners, EDF electric feed-throughs and MDF media feed-throughs. The new SRH series comes in six sizes and twelve torques ranging from 0.9 to 67.8 Nm (0.6 ft-lb to 50 ft-lb). The electric feed-through of the SRH is designed to use digital signals for sensors or simple actuators. Even bus signals can be fed through the unit as an additional option. The EDF feed-throughs ensure considerable greater reliability than the breakage-prone method of routing cables through the center bore of a rotary actuator. 

Even more, the connections of the SRH swivel head are easily accessible and universally equipped with housing connectors or sockets. The media feed-through is directly connected to the mounting surfaces of the swivel head, and both the swivel head itself and the rotating grippers can be supplied with compressed air directly without hoses. The Canfield Connector 5950 and B5950 Micro Proportional Drivers
(MPD) accurately control hydraulic and pneumatic proportional solenoid valves in mobile construction equipment and many types of industrial processes. The flow of either air or liquid can be linearly controlled at a setting from .010 to 20 seconds. A unique feature of the MPD is that it allows a solenoid to oscillate reducing the system shock and wear that is typically found in non-oscillating digital valve systems. 

The 5950 incorporates male and female DIN Form A interfaces and features a compact electronic circuit in a rugged NEMA 4 enclosure which makes it impervious to harsh chemicals, water or foreign substances. The B5950 features an epoxy-potted enclosure with top surface adjustments, on-board diagnostics and terminals for stranded or solid wire to 3mm diameter.

The MAG-11 removes condensate from compressed air filters. The operation is automatic and 
there is no compressed air lost during the condensate discharge cycle.

The MAG-11 uses magnetic force to operate the direct acting valve assembly and is ideally
suited in applications where power is not available, too expensive or not reliable.
The magnets have been specially selected to ensure that long lasting magnetism is guaranteed.

The Series PEC incorporates a cam locking mechanism that prevents the arm from opening if air pressure is lost. The lock works in a range of 6 degrees from the fully closed position. Multiple output shaft options allow the clamp arms to be mounted on either or both sides. The superior design of the Series PEC Clamp offers self-locking internal threads throughout that eliminate the need for thread locking adhesives or additional locking components. Speed reducers reduce the need for flow controls and assist in the prevention of overload failures caused by poor flow control adjustments. Carboxilated Nitrile compression seals give the PEC the advantage in harsh environments.

SCHUNK Inc. introduces a new series linear axis, LIRAX-M LD, designed for assembly automation and for handling weights up to 20kg (45 lb.). The LIRAX-M-LD is constructed out of a drown drawn aluminum profile that has integrated roller guides and is actuated by an efficient linear motor. The lightweight profile gives the LIRAX-M-LD a standard stroke length of up to 2,000mm.

The LIRAX-M-LD axis modules are available in two different designs. The user can choose between a signal-drive slide with feed forces of 50 N (11 lbf) to 300 N (68 lbf), or a twin-drive slide which will double the feed force to 100 N (22 lbf) and 600 N (136 lbf) correspondingly. With the linear motor and roller guides, the LIRAX-M-LD provides for impressive acceleration of 70 m/s2 (230 ft/s2) which is seven times the acceleration of gravity and speeds of up to 5 m/s (16 ft/s). With this high acceleration and speed, the LIRAX-M-LD axis is able to hold a repeat accuracy of � 0.01mm (.0004�).

Many applications formerly actuated by a rotating cam are now being designed and equipped with the superior technology of the linear motor like that in the LIRAX-M-LD modules. With the high speeds and accelerations of the LIRAX-M-LD has almost no wear, resulting in the longest possible service life.

Series CA44 valves are two station valve manifolds for

The valve stations can be 4-way, 2 position valves, or dual 3-way, 2 position valves, or a blanking plate. The CA44 valve flow is 0.2 Cv (200 l/min) with a pressure range of 29 to 116 psi. Voltage is 24VDC with a protection rating of IP67 (NEMA 6). Up to four valve functions and four electric inputs are possible with just one
AS-i address. The manifold is easy to install with all pneumatic connections on one side, and a valve can be replaced without changing the address. Series CA44 valves feature a long service life of more than 100 million cycles.

Spartan Scientific, a manufacturer of standard and custom designed solenoid valves has introduced the cost saving
CRDV/S drain valve which eliminates the �hit-or-miss� adjustments found with conventional timed drain valves. Competitively priced with traditional timed electric drains, this on demand valve combines an electronic sensor with a solid-state integrated logic analysis circuit to determine the exact amount of time necessary to empty condensate from a pneumatic system. 

The technologically advanced CRDV/S allows only the necessary amount of compressed air needed to purge excess fluid; reducing compressor cycling and wear and tear on expensive components. By eliminating dirty condensate buildup it also increases machine life by reducing the rust that clogs air components. The

The Pneumatic Division of Parker Hannifin Corporation
(NYSE:PH) introduces a heavy-duty industrial in-line valve series specifically designed for use in extreme operating conditions. 
The new Viking Xtreme� incorporates innovative spool technology for effective use in applications where pneumatic systems have to operate at extreme temperatures. Viking Xtreme 
has an operating temperature range of -40˚C to +70˚C, with a maximum pressure of 16 bar.

Traditional solenoid valves typically use either an O-ring or lip seals between the valve spool and body. The Viking Xtreme�s aluminum spool, with a specially engineered over-molded 
rubber, eliminates the problems of seals deforming or extruding under conditions of high pressure or flow. 

The precision ground-molded spool construction lessens unit complexity, increases flow rates, ensures stable seal performance in high flow/pressure drop situations and offers 
robust performance in a wide range of operating temperatures.

Viking Xtreme provides enhanced performance for a variety of mobile applications such as truck/trailer, bus/coach and rail, as well as non-mobile uses including mining, wood cutting, 
pulp/paper processing and sawmill operations.

The new Viking Xtreme is available in three versions � solenoid operated, remote air pilot, and manually actuated. With a choice of 1/8˝, 1/4˝, 3/8˝, and 1/2˝ port sizes, the series offers

to shafts, but also in holes. 

Two triple jaw sets that move independently from one another and an integral stroke enable an assembly procedure without precedent, which redefines the concept of �operational 
reliability�. The O-ring no longer snaps from the fingers into the groove in an uncontrolled manner, but instead is first released from the first three fingers, and only afterwards released 
from the last three fingers. The advantage: the O-ring has no choice but to slip into the groove.
